Let's just say... as it turns out.. North Carolina is good for my soul. I was stoked when this bride reached out to me to see if it was possible for me to fly to the mountains and drive to a little town outside of Cashiers and photograph their wedding. Uh, yes please! I can't speak highly enough of this couple nor their families. The bride writes long emails - like me - so I felt her connection right off the bat... hahaha.. but they are real and the wedding was amazing. The ceremony and reception were held at Sawyer Family Farmstead and talk about amazing! They coordinate, they help, they get it all together and have an absolutely gorgeous venue location to boot! The rustic, farmy features are really cool - and they top it off with a horse-drawn carriage! All vendors involved in this wedding were great to work with - yummy food, pretty flowers, oh, and the band.. well, that was the grooms' himself! Well, a mix of dad, father-in-law, brother, you get the jist. I often hear from brides that their hubby's can play.. probably a little too often.. but you know what, this groom can play.. and he played! It was a fun day - an awesome wedding and reception celebration, and a great party at the end! The views, the people, the food, the drive, the small towns,.. I felt like I totally connected to NC and my soul truly is better for it!
